Issue #54 of the Pascal Newsletter has been published. This issue has two
articles with step-by-step instructions on using .NET Assemblies as COM objects in Win32 programs and
simple classes for managing your IP configuration. We'd like to thank all the authors who contributed
articles or prizes for this issue.
These clases make it easy to use the Windows IP Helper API to retrieve and
modify your TCP/IP settings. This update fixes a couple of bugs in the clases and the demo application.

Erik Frieberg, Borland's Vice President of Product Marketing, responds to a
recent article in TheRegister.com that misinterpreted comments about JBuilder from our recent earnings
call.
IDC, an independent world-wide market research company, is conducting a
worldwide survey of professional software developers in collaboration with several large IT vendors,
including Borland.
Borland is releasing core code from its JBuilder IDE into the Eclipse open
source community after a surprise drop in first-quarter sales. The company hopes to offset JBuilder's
R&D expenses by putting the suite into Eclipse, where the open source community would -
theoretically - drive API and feature improvements.
Borland is updating its application design and modeling tools for .NET to
bolster customers using an increasingly dated version of Microsoft's developer suite. The ALM specialist
has launched two role-specific versions of its Together UML environment for Visual Studio .NET.
Borland today announced that President and CEO Dale L. Fuller will present an
executive keynote at the European Systems and Software Engineering Process Group conference in London on
15th June 2005.
Certicom has licensed Security Builder SSL developer toolkit to Borland. An
existing customer, Borland continues to choose Certicom products to ensure it has the most up-to-date and
efficient security in its VisiBroker CORBA infrastructure solution.
