Borland today announced CaliberRM 6.0 for requirements management. Part
of the Borland ALM portfolio of solutions, CaliberRM 6.0 is designed to address growing customer
demand for faster delivery of high quality software. This latest release helps software development
teams to better understand and keep up with changing business needs; expressed as "requirements"; to
reduce the costs of software rework.
With so much new functionality centered on the .NET Framework in Delphi 8,
plus the implementation of a new Help browser, Borland took a fresh approach to the documentation.

Borland South Africa Offers Free Development Workshops

Borland is hosting a series of free workshops aimed at enabling delegates to
produce better software, faster, through eliminating inefficiencies and encouraging an innovative approach.
Sessions will be hosted at Borland's offices in Glenhove, South Africa.
Visual Studio Magazine presented its annual Readers Choice Awards last night
during VSLive! 2004. These awards, chosen by the magazine's readers, honor excellent software in 23 development
categories, in addition to Editors Choice awards given to new products deserving particular attention. Borland
won an award for C#Builder for the Microsoft .NET Framework in the Development Tools category.
JBuilder X Enterprise includes software from Altova XMLSPY, Crystal Reports,
Oracle, salesforce.com, Sun and Sybase. These Premium Tools are available as part of the default install
for JBuilder X Enterprise and Borland Enterprise Studio for Java or can be download by JBuilder registered users.
Including both evolutions and revolutions, this year's eWEEK Excellence Awards
finalists reflect the efforts of both established industry leaders and emerging innovators. Borland
Enterprise Studio for Java 7 has been nominated in the Application & Web Services Development category.
The release of Borland C++ BuilderX 1.5 brings several new solutions for
Symbian OS developers including the first, native C++ RAD support, UML modeling solutions and
Web Services.
QualityCentral reports for Delphi 8 have been updated to reflect the
latest status of Delphi 8 Update 2. Forty-two bugs have been marked as closed after their status
was automatically updated from Borland's internal tracking system.
